Eric Munson co-founded PSP Ventures in 2014 at the request of family offices seeking to obtain shares in select late-stage venture-backed growth companies.
His 35 years of experience spans alternative asset management, corporate finance, mutual funds, private equity & venture capital having built, developed & managed 18 different funds, while raising assets in excess of $20b over the past 25 years. Hambrecht & Quist, Morgan Stanley, Franklin/Templeton, Seneca, Wentworth Hauser & Violich, and Acorn Partners are all firms where he has served on the executive, investment and/or management committees over the course of his career. He has invested as a principal in over 30 privately-held companies, working on over 250 initial public offerings and worked on hundreds of other deals since 1982.
Mr. McCooey co-founded PSP Ventures in 2014 alongside Eric Munson.
He began his career in 1991 as an assistant Nasdaq market maker at Nash Weiss and moved to Citigroup in 1992 and spent the next ten years as a Nasdaq market maker covering technology stocks, in particular the semiconductor sector. In 2002, Dan joined Weeden & Co. as a partner and head of the Nasdaq trading department and spent the next ten years in various senior management and trading roles. Dan has invested in numerous private companies as a principal, managing several growth equity firms in the consumer and related spaces. In 2012 Dan joined Pulteney Street Capital Management, LLC as a Member after having enjoyed a 21 year career as a trader on Wall Street.
